Description
These double chunk chocolate cookies are rich, gooey, and loaded with bold chocolate flavor. They’re simple to make and perfect for any cookie lover.
Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
1 1/4 cups light brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups chopped dark chocolate chunks
Instructions
1. Cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
2. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla.
3. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt.
4. Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
5. Fold in the chocolate chunks.
6. Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes.
7. Scoop dough onto a lined baking sheet.
8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes.
9. Let cool on the tray for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Use a mix of dark and semi-sweet chocolate for depth of flavor.
Chill the dough overnight for even chewier cookies.
Cookies can be frozen and baked individually when needed.
