Chewy, rich, and easy vegan chocolate chip cookies that taste just like the classic—only plant-based.
Ingredients
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
½ cup vegan butter or coconut oil
½ cup brown sugar
¼ cup cane sugar
1 tbsp ground flaxseed + 2.5 tbsp water (flax egg)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp non-dairy milk (optional if dough is too dry)
¾ cup vegan chocolate chips
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment.
2. Mix flaxseed and water in a small bowl, let sit 5 minutes.
3. Cream vegan butter and both sugars until smooth.
4. Add flax egg and vanilla, mix well.
5. Stir in dry ingredients until combined. Add non-dairy milk if needed.
6. Fold in vegan chocolate chips.
7. Scoop dough onto sheet and bake 10–12 minutes.
Notes
Let cookies cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before moving.
Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
